Benny Tibetan Spaniel Adult Male in Binghamton, New York

My story
N FOSTER Meet Benny Bonaparte, the lil dude with big tude! And he is looking for the right fit home. We know nothing about Benny's past. The Dog control officer found him as a stray in downtown Binghamton in April. He was taken to our friends of B.C. Dog Shelter and transferred to us when BCDS became overburdened. Unfortunately, Benny had a rough start in the shelter environment, which can be very scary and overstimulating for many pups. So he was sent to a foster where he ultimately blossomed and became a happy yippy-yappy little fellow and cuddle buddy. The vet Staff estimated Benny to be around three years old. And he is a Tibbie! A Tibetan Spaniel. Fancy, I know! These little guys are similar to a Pekinese; they are dignified and can be aloof and wary of strangers. Benny tends to set boundaries quickly if strangers get too touchy, and I get it, Benny; I am the same! A home with children would be a BIG NO-NO! He has a moderate energy level and enjoys a mellow and quiet life on the lap of his loved ones.

He is okay with small, aloof, mellow dogs and is intimidated by large, rambunctious dogs. But honestly, Benny wouldn't mind being the only canine child.  He has interacted with cats and did really well. This little lion becomes a lovely, loyal, and sweet lap pup once he trusts you. He is super housebroken and loves going for walks. His energy level is moderate; he likes his playtime but loves a couch potato the most. He loves and needs to be brushed and baths too!

He enjoys the thrills of chasing the ball and sky raisins! If you are interested in meeting this cutie, fill out an application, so we can set a meeting.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Benny, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
